Training Programs

The BTI training framework is based upon the system used by the NCVQ (National Council for Vocational Qualifications), in the U.K.There are four levels as follows:

Level 1

At this level you will develop competence to perform a number of work activities which are simple and routine in nature. You will also acquire a sound knowledge base to enable you to continue your studies at higher levels. There are four types of programmes at this level: Craft Certificate Programs. Foundation Certificate. Certificate in Computing Application. Diploma in Welding Technology

Level 2

This level enables you to develop competence in a broader range of activities than Level 1. You will be able to perform a variety of technical tasks taking individual responsibility. You will have opportunities to develop your skills by doing assignments required by industry. The following programmes, approved by BTEC, are available at this level: First Diploma in Technology:

  • Motor Vehicle
  • Building & Constructions
  • Garment Technology
  • Chemical Technology
    • First Diploma in Business and Finance:
  • Office Administration

  • Sales and Marketing

    • Level 3

    This level is concerned with complex and non-routine skills. In addition to the technical skills, you are also required to have supervisory ability. You will build upon your studies at Level 2 and do a larger number of assignment and projects required by industry. The following programmes, approved by BTEC and other international bodies, are available at this level: National Diploma in Engineering:

    • National Diploma in Business and Finance:

    • Level 4

    At this level, emphasis is on analytical and conceptual skills and applying them to real work related situations. Trainees are required to do genuine investigative project work. At this level the following programme is available Higher National Diploma in Engineering:

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Higher National Diploma in Business Administration
