About BTI

Bahrain Training Institute was formed in August, 1992 with the object of providing high quality training that meets the needs of the manufacturing, process, construction, commercial and service industries. It is a semi-autonomous training organisation established by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to serve the human resource development needs of the State of Bahrain. The BTI operates under the overall umbrella and policies of the High Council for Vocational Training, chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. Development of specific training policies and their monitoring is the responsibility of the BTI Board of Directors, chaired by the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and consisting of representatives of government, commercial, industrial, education and training sectors. Bahrain Training Institute is committed to the development of high quality Bahraini human resources to support the development aspirations of the Bahraini nation. It aims to revitalise the traditional work ethic to meet the needs of a modern technology-based society. In doing so, the BTI aspires to contribute to the plans of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to establish training and HRD as an industry in Bahrain.


Vision

To consolidate the Bahrain Training Institute as a customer driven, high quality and flexible training organisation, capable of providing relevant training programmes to satisfy the needs of industrial and commercial organisations as well as to prepare young people for successful entry into the labour market and further to develop the Institute as a model centre of excellence in the Gulf region by operating at the highest standards of effectiveness and efficiency.

Mission

The mission of the Bahrain Training Institute is to provide the most efficient, cost effective and relevant training in the areas of business and technology to satisfy the training requirements of the industrial, commercial, construction, service and public sectors in Bahrain. The BTI is committed to continuously satisfying the needs of its customers through an approach to quality which also meets the needs of its trainees, staff and the community at large.
