About BTI
Bahrain Training Institute was formed in August, 1992 with the object of providing high quality training that meets the needs of the manufacturing, process, construction, commercial and service industries. It is a semi-autonomous training organisation established by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to serve the human resource development needs of the State of Bahrain. The BTI operates under the overall umbrella and policies of the High Council for Vocational Training, chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. Development of specific training policies and their monitoring is the responsibility of the BTI Board of Directors, chaired by the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and consisting of representatives of government, commercial, industrial, education and training sectors. Bahrain Training Institute is committed to the development of high quality Bahraini human resources to support the development aspirations of the Bahraini nation. It aims to revitalise the traditional work ethic to meet the needs of a modern technology-based society. In doing so, the BTI aspires to contribute to the plans of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to establish training and HRD as an industry in Bahrain.
